ABOUT JACK
Jack Stobart is a Zimbabwean-born, New Zealand stone sculptor. Jack comes from a family of artists. Jack’s mother, Louise Stobart a renowned metal sculptor and designer along with her husband Bruce, founded Birdwoods Gallery in Havelock North in 2004.
Jack undertook a sculpting apprenticeship in 2018, under the tutelage of internationally recognised stone sculptor, Tendai Gwaravaza. Jack has exhibited and sold his work both nationally and internationally with his work in collections in Europe, America, Australia and Canada. Jack runs his own gallery in Arrowtown, also called Birdwoods and produces many of his works from his Arrowtown studio

The Birdwoods Connection
Jack also plays an integral part at Birdwoods, a family business based across two locations (Havelock North & Arrowtown) comprising of an Art Gallery, Café, Sculpture Garden and an old fashioned Sweet Shop. Growing up with Birdwoods' creative ethos, Jack has helped expand the family legacy into Central Otago, blending his unique talent with the charm and tradition that Birdwoods is known for.
